Shopping Decisions

Follow Emily to the mall with her best friend Lindsay. They're looking for a simple item, and Emily's diabetes gets in the way. Or does it? It's a very short visual novel over the span of one shopping trip.

The story was written quickly while learning to make visual novels with Ren'Py. My stories about Emily include details of diabetes self-care to encourage imagination and curiosity in a fun way, using adventurous rather than clinical scenes. 

I've been hanging onto a plan to write more stories as visual novels and Kindle ebooks and wish you a happy 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin this year, 2021. Thanks to Dr. Banting, Dr. Best, Dr. Macloud, Dr. Collip, and the other Canadians that worked on insulin those 100 years ago.
